##Tevin R. Bannister, BBA Economics & Finance##

Tevin Bannister is a finalist for BFSB’s annual Financial Services Student of the Year (SOTY) Award, an initiative jointly sponsored with the Professional Industry Associations and the Central Bank of the Bahamas.

The award recognises an outstanding graduating student from within COB’s School of Business, and candidates are selected through a combined vetting process by the COB and an Industry Panel. The 2014 SOTY will be announced at BFSB’s Annual [Excellence Awards Gala Dinner](https://bfsb-bahamas.com/news.php?cmd=view&id=3310&pre=y) on November 14.

##About Tevin##

Tevin graduated from the College of The Bahamas in 2014 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Finance. He was the recipient of the Livingstone Evans Memorial Award in Economics and Finance. During his time at the College of The Bahamas, he played an active role on campus working along closely with successive College of The Bahamas Union of Students administrations.

Tevin obtained his secondary education at St. John’s College where he followed his passion for representing others through his service as Vice President of the Student Council. He also served as Deputy Head Boy, and graduated with distinction in 2009.

He currently is studying for the Series 7 examination, and intends to pursue graduate studies in the area of Economics and International Relations. He is employed as a Teller at Scotiabank (Bahamas) Ltd.

He has served on the Bahamas National Youth Council, and currently is a sitting executive for a local youth political group.
