The Counsellors Ltd. announces that the Minister of State for Finance, the Hon. Zhivargo Laing, will be the keynote presenter at January’s **Bahamas Business Outlook**. Under the theme, *Improving Competitiveness for Regional Leadership*, the annual conference will provide a platform to engage Bahamians in how they – and The Bahamas – can become leaders in all facets of business throughout the Caribbean.
The event is scheduled for January 9 at the Sheraton Cable Beach Resort, with other featured speakers including the Hon. Carl Bethel, Minister of Education, Youth, Sports and Culture; Vernice Walkine, Director-General of Tourism; Vincent Vanderpool-Wallace, the Secretary General of the Caribbean Tourism Organisation; Simon Townsend, KPMG Partner; Dr. Duane Sands, Chairman of the Bahamas Medical Council; Christopher Anand, Managing Partner of Albany; Chares Klonaris, Chairman of the Nassau Tourism and Development Board; Craig Richmond, Chief Executive of the Nassau Airport Development Company; Rhodes Scholar Dr. Desiree Cox; and Dionisio D’Aguilar, President of the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce.
The Counsellors hosted the first Bahamas Business Outlook in 1991, subsequently expanding the franchise to Grand Bahama, Abaco and Exuma.
