**C. Dianne Davis-Bingham** is the recipient of the Professional of the Year Award, presented at BFSB’s recent Industry Excellence Awards Banquet.

She was nominated by the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

Also recognised at the Banquet were William B. Sands, Jr. (Commonwealth Bank Limited) – Executive of the Year; and Katriena Marshall (BSI Overseas (Bahamas) Limited) – Achiever of the Year.

**2004 Professional of the Year**

Mrs. Davis-Bingham is Manager of Private Banking at Scotiabank, and heads the Private Banking Centre in downtown Nassau. This is the area of the Scotiabank group that is geared towards targeting “the unique and diversified needs of a wide range of domestic and international clients.”

Between 1986 – 2000, her career at the Bank of Nova Scotia Trust Company (Bahamas) Ltd. (Scotiatrust) included roles such as Client Account Manager where she was responsible for overseeing the preparation of financial statements for all clients and was involved with the implementation of the AS 400. This included the training of local and overseas personnel. She later advanced to a Senior Trust Officer position, where she supervised a trust team, overseeing the administration of private client trusts and IBCs.

Between 2000 and 2003, Mrs. Davis-Bingham served as Assistant Manager of Trust Services at Meespierson (Bahamas) Limited, and as Manager of Client Services. In the former position she was responsible for the supervision of a team of 4 persons. The advancement to Manager of Client Services brought direct responsibility for the entire trust, client accounting and client services departments, consisting of more than 23 persons. She had oversight of new business development within this area and was involved in the overall management and direction of Meespierson through her participation in Senior Management meetings.

Since May 2002, Mrs. Davis-Bingham has been an Executive Board Member of the STEP Bahamas Branch, and has made significant contributions to the development of its training facility, established in 2003.
