Bahamas Business Solutions Limited has donated a fully loaded IBM Netvista, complete with a Lexmark Z33 Color Printer as the Grand Prize in Careers Fest 2002.

Winston C. Rolle, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, of BBS said *”We are happy to be in a position to contribute to the development of our young people. Whatever career path they may choose, technology will play a significant role in their success and we feel honored to be in a position to assist them along that road.”*

The Bahamas Financial Services Board and the Rotary Club of East Nassau sponsored the October 8-9 event, in co-operation with the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Finance, and Ministry of Financial Services and Investments. BFSB’s CEO & Executive Director Wendy C. Warren explains that the overall objective of the two-day event was to profile the wide range of careers in the financial services industry.

Targetting senior level grades in the public and private secondary schools, the annual Careers Fest is part of BFSB’s ongoing Financial Centre Focus (FCF) public awareness and education programme. This initiative addresses issues such as (a) challenges impacting the sustained growth and development of the industry; (b) improvements to the level of service; and (c) attracting and maintaining qualified professions. Particular attention is placed on highlighting the importance of quality human resources to the industry.
