The Attorney General’s Office has completed a project to have the laws of The Bahamas revised and available on CD Rom. The law reform project included taking the laws out of the Gazette and having the compact disc version updated on an ongoing basis. “Wholesale revision” of the law will become a thing of the past.

This project was undertaken under mandate of the Law Reform and Revision Act, which required the Law Reform Commission to prepare a revised edition of the Statute Law and a revised edition of the Subsidiary Legislation — and also to make arrangements for printing and publication of the laws. This was initiated in 2000 by the then Governor General. The revised edition will be available to the public in two forms: a loose leaf form, and in CD-ROM format.
